Ocean Friendly Restaurants welcomes Bare Burger, Sunnin and Lodge Bread

Ocean Friendly Restaurants has been quite busy this year, holding training to educate our volunteers about how to look for proper recycling, energy efficient and water saving methods, walking the neighborhood to let our fave places to eat know about the program, and getting our snazzy decals printed. We’re excited to finally be signing up restaurants!

The latest three to join the program are BareBurger, Sunnin Lebanese and Lodge Bread! Please join us in welcoming these restaurants by eating their delicious food, and stay tuned for more restaurants, plus video profiles of chefs and owners! If you know of a restaurant you love who might qualify for our program, send them our way!

What makes a restaurant Ocean Friendly?
1. No expanded polystyrene use (aka Styrofoam).
2. Proper recycling practices are followed.
3. Water conservation efforts such as saving water in a drought, no hosing down outside without capturing the water to reduce urban runoff, and/or proper disposal of FOG (fats, oil and grease) to conserve water and help reduce sewage spills.
