Together, alongside Surfrider members, students, outdoor industry leaders, and ambassadors from around the country, Los Angeles Chapter leaders travelled to Washington D.C. on March 8, 2023 and met with our nation’s federal leaders and urge them to take action around plastic pollution reduction, protecting clean water, and ocean protection.
Our Los Angeles team was able to meet with the offices of Rep. Ted Lieu, Rep. Brad Sherman, and Rep. Pete Aguliar to speak about how our local environmenal issues we face in Southern California are tied to national and international climate efforts. It was a great reminder that the work we are engaged in locally makes a big impact on the national stage!
