Oceans Lobby Day in Sacramento

By
On Tuesday, April 16 th, a coalition of activists from varying environmental non-profits descended upon the state capital in Sacramento to participate in Ocean Lobby Day.

Over the course of the day, these representatives sat face to face with nearly 90 policy-makers and their staff to discuss pressing ocean issues and what the state of California is doing to address them. Represented by ten activists from five chapters, the Surfrider Foundation focused on the issues of marine debris and water quality, as well as sea-level rise and its relation to beach erosion.
