STORY OF PLASTIC

March 2 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm PST

$10.00

Join SFLA and our friends at Algalita Marine Research & Education for a special screening of THE STORY OF PLASTIC – a searing expose, uncovering the ugly truth behind plastic pollution and the false solution of plastic recycling.

Different from every other plastic documentary you’ve seen, THE STORY OF PLASTIC presents a cohesive timeline of how we got to our current global plastic pollution crisis and how the oil and gas industry has successfully manipulated the narrative around it. This film introduces audiences to the heroes and the villains behind one of the world’s most pressing environmental issues, from the extraction of fossil fuels to plastic disposal and the global resistance fighting back.

Revealing the urgent information global audiences need to know immediately, through life-changing footage shot all over the world, THE STORY OF PLASTIC will not only change viewers’ lives but will fuel a worldwide movement.

After this very special screening, Algalita will host a panel with cast and crew! Panelists will include Director and Producer Deia Schlosberg, Executive Producer Stiv Wilson, environmental justice advocate Yvette Arellano, environmental activist Prigi Arisandi, and Algalita founder Charles Moore.

Movie starts at 8:30pm. There is no venue parking and street parking is very limited. Please plan ahead!
